Over the past 48 years, the Jordanian pharmaceutical industry has experienced a remarkable growth in facilities, services and number. Presently there are 17 companies after couple of mergers occurred during the last four years.

This sector has become a key sector for Jordan economy, since the Jordanian pharmaceutical products are now exported to more than 65 regional and international countries, thanks to their high quality standards, safety and efficacy at convenient prices.

In order to cope with this rapid development in the pharmaceutical industry, the Jordanian Association of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (JAPM) was established in 1996, as a not for profit business association, with a member base nowadays of 14 pharmaceutical companies. In addition JAPM has 12 supporting members including pharmaceutical research units.

JAPM vision is to develop Jordanian pharmaceutical industry into world class competitive standards, to become active player in the global pharmaceutical industry arena.
